What is My Purpose in Life?

Life is the most precious gift that has been granted to us by Allah S.W.T, Our Most Merciful Creator. Our life didn’t begin at birth and it won’t end at death. Therefore, we should make full use of what is given to us. We must have a definite purpose in life so that we have a clear view on which path of life we are heading to.
In my point of view, the first and most ultimate purpose of life is to enter Jannah (paradise). In order to achieve that, we must recognize The Creator, be grateful to Him, worship Him, surrender ourselves to Him and obey the laws that He has determined for us which means worship. Whatever we do in the course of that worship for example eating, sleeping, dressing, working, and enjoying between birth and death must be only to get blessings from Allah S.W.T.
Second is, to give us spiritual support to face all the hardships and failures and to continue life. We would be more determined of what we are doing and what would be the consequences that we will be facing later. Therefore, we will be stronger, both physically and mentally. Thus, avoid our mind from any negative kind of actions such as depression or suicidal thought.
Third is, to make our ambition, goal and dream specific for us to achieve. We would not just think of being a successful person but we would think of being successful in which field, where, when, what are the basic steps, any many more. We would take into account all these matters in a very detailed manner.
Lastly, having a purpose makes our life more meaningful and worth. It makes us realise the beauty of life and appreciate all the creation of Allah S.W.T. Having a purpose makes the first step to have a bright future. Therefore, every creation especially humans must have a detailed purpose in his life for here and hereafter. ok or not mdm?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Human life will be miserable without any guidance and purpose of life. So, what is the purpose of our life? There are some people said that stupid people live to eat while smart people eat to live. So, what’s the purpose of life for smart people? Of course, when we said about the purpose of life, there are 3 things in our mind which are where we are coming from, where we are heading to and why we are here? Since we are Muslim, there is must be a reason why Allah creates us to be here now. For me, the most important things in my life are to seek pleasure from Allah s.w.t and to be a good khalifah. It’s somehow very easy to say but to be istiqamah (consistent) to do something good is very challengeable. But, we must always remember that we will be count in the Day of Judgment. Besides, I want to make my parents feel happy in anything that I do and I want them feel proud of me. I also want to learn and experience many things in my life. I wish that I could gain as much as possible the knowledge and share it to others. So, in my opinion, we must have the purpose in our life because it will set our heart and lead our actions to do what we want to do in our life. It also like a light that guide us to take a right path in our way to jannah.. InsyaAllah.. :)

HAVING PURPOSE IN LIFE...
Everyone of us should be thankful to God for giving us chance to live in this beautiful world. Actually, why God created us? What is the purpose of our creation? Do you ever think about this question? Our purpose comes in the form of our goals, our dreams or our ambitions but we just do not know how to achieve them.. It is extremely important to discover the purpose of our life.
Likewise I am also the one who have great purpose in my life in order to enjoy and live in this temporary world with Allah’s Blessing. Generally, there are two main purposes that Allah had created human which are to be the servant of Allah who glorify HIM everytime and to be the khalifah to govern the world in appropriate way. Allah had stated in the Holy Quran in Surah Ad-Dzariyyat, versus 56 ( I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me) and Al-Baqarah, versus 30 (Behold, your Lord said to the angles: “I will create a vicegerent on earth”.They said, “will You place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?-whilst we do celebrate Your praises and glorify Your Holy (name)?”. He said: “I know what you know not”.)..It is such a big honour for Muslim to receive the responsibility. Definitely, Allah know what we do not know.

That is why I am putting my first purpose of life to be a good servant of Allah by obeying all HIS rules and avoiding the all His prohibition as well as doing other good deeds such as to be good to my parents, to organize a charity fund to orphanage and gain valuable knowledge through studying for the sake of Islam. Every second of time, I am trying to achieve the perfection of faith or in Arabic term, we call it “halawatul iman” as I know that the state of iman for human being could increase or decrease. I always forget for being thankful to God and that is why I love people around me who always remind me about Allah. I really love them especially my parents for giving me knowledges and train me to be a good person. I hope that I could do all my good deeds with ihsan in order to achieve rewards from Allah in the hereafter. Ihsan means we do things such as Allah is seeing us and if we can not see Allah, Allah is always watching us. There is no ones action that are excluded from Allah’s knowing. Subhanallah. Praise to Allah. The perfection of ihsan will lead us to be sincere in our deeds as we will do the best.

My second purpose of life is I want to contribute something for my religion. I have always heard about the history of Muslim who brings Islam to be ignited such as Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh, Salahuddin Al-Ayubi and Saidina Abu bakar As-Siddiq. All of them had done a lot for the sake of Islam. I’m also wondering it is such a beautiful life if I can feel the embracement of Islam during that era and be a part of them. But, I know that I’m not strong enough to be like them as i’m lack of tarbiyyah. As time goes, i just can try to make myself better. I’m learning from mistakes and always hoped that today is better than yesterday and tomorrow is better than today. Amen.
However, nowadays world seems to be changing a lot as the development of the technology and most of the people now are in the state of dangerous. Everyday, we see so many news about immoral behaviour of youngsters, the Muslim is acting like non-Muslim and they are proud to do the prohibited things. I feel very disappointed and sad but i just can pray for them and do what I just can do. I am trying to learn beneficial knowledge as many as I can so that in the future I could be one of the good person that can benefits others. I will spread my knowledge and advise people to the right way insyaAllah. And for myself especially, please remember and always ponder on the purpose of this life is to have happiness in the hereafter. There is one of the hadith said that if we want the world, we must have knowledge. If we want the akhirah, we must have knowledge. And if we want both of them, we must have knowledge. This hadith shows us regarding the importance of knowledge. I always believe that people will develop themselves when their level of knowledge is increasing.
As the conclusion, I really hoped that i can achieve my purpose of life in order to make myself satisfy in whatever I do so that my journey of life will be meaningful. Always remind ourself that Allah did not created us without purpose. There are reasons behind our creation that leads to our existence in this world today. Please appreciate people around us as they are the gift from Allah and always do good deeds to them. One more important thing is about death. One day, all of us will definitely be called by Allah as we belong to HIM. Be prepared to face the death and there is another permanent life in the hereafter. People who always remember death are the intelligent ones. All of the advises are for the reminder especially for myself who tend to be forgetful. Let us come together to achieve Mardhatillah insyaAllah. Thank you for those who had supported me.=)

Section 8

A ship manoeuvred without a course of direction somehow will get lost somewhere. Life is totally the same. Having a purpose or purposes in life is the one that will stir our direction of life to the right path. In this leadership class, I’ve learned three of the seven habits of highly effective people, quoted by the book of the same title written by Stephen R. Covey, which emphasize on personal change and paradigm shift in general.

The first one, be proactive. It means to seek initiatives or to act upon, not be acted upon. Before this, I know that we have the power to choose and to make decision, and that we need to be responsible for our choice. But of course, old habits are not easy to be changed, like in my case, laziness, procrastination, late submissions of assignments and many more are practically what other students face too. I found myself difficult to accept changes, especially in my daily routines. I used to wake up late for Subuh that I found myself rushing to the morning class all the time, looking shabbier as ever because I haven’t got enough time to prepare going to the class properly, so I decided to change it starting this semester. On the first day, I tried to set my alarm clock at 6.15 (I usually wake up at 6.30am), only to find myself waking up at 6.20am. It’s okay because it’s only the first day and I will try some more. They say it took about 2-3 weeks to change a habit by doing it repeatedly. On the next day, I set the alarm at 6.10, which I wake up 5 minutes after snoozing. There’s a progression! So, in order to prevent myself feeling sleepy, I immediately took a cold shower and then do the Subuh prayer. This actually works because washing up keeps your body fresh and energized.

Secondly, begin with the end in mind. Although I don’t fully understand the concept when I first read it, but what I know is this one is about doing things that you imagine could make a difference in the life of the people surrounding us. This is where having a goal in life is important, where you can start with a clear understanding of your destination. I have quite an enormous passion towards photography even though I haven’t got any proper learning class in this field. All I know is I love to take pictures, so I started taking pictures of my friends and the scenery of this campus every now and then, so that I can take a good look at them in the future and remember all the good times I have here. I sort of believe that by taking pictures with other people can make me feel like I exist in this world, and even years after that people still can look at that picture and know I’ve been there. I also believe that doing things sincerely for a friend is one of the examples too. I mean, I may never get a standing ovation for that, or the person may not even realize what I’ve done to him or her, but I do it anyway. What’s important is Allah knows that. Sincerity is like a black stone on a dark night, meaning that it’s rare and difficult to see, but you know it’s there.

The third habits of highly effective people would be putting first things first. In my case, the top priority would be family and study, but I also couldn’t stay away from socializing with friends and participating in campus activity. You see, I really love to read English novels and watching movies, even though the exam is getting near. Now, I even take guitar lessons, adding up a guitar to the list. Ah, what a life. But then, before the mid semester exam, I tried to restrict watching movies only during meal time, and then I studied a few days before the exam. This is rare for me because I usually study the night before the exam! You can tell what the situation was like. But on the day before the first exam, I’ve already finished my revisions and actually go to sleep early. It turned out that my result was better than the last semester, so I know now that I need to be well prepared for the exam.

(Sorry for posting another answer. I'm not sure about the question you asked: purpose of life or 3 habits?)

"Why having a purpose of life is meaningful?"

In this big and harsh world, living a meaningful life is not easy. Some people live in a life of a log bridge, not being able to look back or sideways by just moving forward through and through. While there are some people who decided to live a very simple life in the countryside to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life. Some people, on the other hand, have no direction whatsoever in life, moving with a flow like a dandelion seed from place to place, unsure where they belong in this world.

Having an aim, or goal, is like providing a map for yourself, in order for you to reach your destination on the right track. You know what you're doing, and that is what making you different than others.

I’m still searching myself, the purpose of my life, besides being the slave of Allah and the vicegerent on His earth. Who am I? And where do I belong? I’m pretty sure everyone else is asking the same questions as me. People say that during teenagers we tend to search for who we are and finding the right identity to suit ourselves. But then, for me, I’m way past my teenager years now but I’m still searching, so for me, it doesn’t matter how old you are or what you’ve achieved, but if you don’t know yourself, you’ll always feel like something is missing, something is not right somewhere.

When I was in secondary school, everyone seems to ask you what’s your ambition? What do you want to be when you grow up? What are your dreams? Yeah, those questions always popped up somewhere whether in the form we need to fill or whenever we introduce ourselves in front of the class. It’s always like that. And I was always reluctant on figuring out the answer, so I decided to follow my best friend. That was when I started writing the word “doctor” whenever the question is asked, because everybody seems to be writing that one. Of course I know the doctors. The ones who wear cool looking white robe walking around the hospital with the thing called stethoscope hanging around their neck all the time. But that’s all I know. I spent my whole school years thinking that doctor is the best profession in this whole wide world. Well, I was being put in the Science stream anyway, without anyone asking me whether I want it or not, so I just sit there and go with the flow without realizing that I was actually pursuing other people’s dream, not mine.

Finally, I ended up here, also in Science. But this time is different. At least I know now that I don’t want to be a doctor anymore. I like it here. But still. I’m still searching myself by trying out lots of new things, meeting new friends, going places and so on. And I hope I’ll find it somehow, someday.

Simply put, having this goal or aim or whatever you want to call it, is good. It’s like mapping a treasure hunt where there’s the sign ‘X’ on the particular spot. Then, you’ll plan the way to get there, doing everything you can, overcoming all sorts of adventures and shortcomings, and encountering good and bad things along the way, before you finally reach there. But, life is not always about race and competition. Sometimes, all you need to do is just be yourself, and things will go smoothly even when you don’t realize it. Say this quote, “Shoot for the moon, even if you miss it, you’ll land among the stars”. Life is like that. It’s okay to set the bar high because when you know you’re on the right track, you’ll achieve it somehow or something close to it, or even better. Who knows?

Why we must have a purpose in life???

Life isn't about finding ourselves. Life is about creating ourselves. Knowing our life's purpose can give direction to our life, and help us figure out where to focus our energy, time and money. Besides, knowing our life's purpose provides us with unique motivation to live our life in a certain way and typically drives us to do the things that are the very most important to us. It is also a reflection of the core of our being. It is who you are and what you are here to be or to do.
Having the unifying theme of our life's purpose can change the quality of our life. We often find that when we have discovered our life's purpose and begun to live by it, our lives take on greater meaning and authenticity. Our course is clearer, our decision-making easier. In addition, having our life purpose as a focus to our life allows us to travel our life's path more smoothly and easily.
In Islam, the purpose of life is to worship Allah. Having faith in Allah gives us the purpose of life that we needs. Worshipping Allah makes life purposeful and meaningful because this worldly life is just a short stage of our life. Then there is the other life, the Hereafter. The boundary between the two lives is the death stage. The type of life in the Hereafter depends on our deeds in the first life.
Beautiful Islam provides permanent purpose of life instead of temporary purpose that most people think of. Sometimes we have purposes in our lives such as collecting money and property, power, eating, and dancing. But all these purposes are transient and passing ones. All these purposes come and go, go up and down. Money comes and goes. Health comes and goes. They cannot continue forever. All these lusts for money, food and power cannot answer the individual's questions: so what? Then What?
However, Islam saves Muslims from the trouble of asking the question, because Islam makes it clear, from the very beginning, that the permanent purpose of the Muslim in this life is to obey Allah in order to go to Paradise in the second life. The three things we need to do are to know our Lord who created us, believe in Him, and worship Him alone, know our Prophet whom Allah had sent to all mankind, believe in Him and follow Him, know the religion of truth which our Lord has commanded us to believe in, and practice it.
So, overall we can say that all human beings in this world need something permanent to depend on to go through their lives in happiness, calmness and meaningful. Otherwise they will found this world just hectically, tiredness and boredom. So, guys see the world not even just by your eyes but see it by your heart, only then we can appreciate every single seconds in our life.

My Purposes of Life
Before this, I never thought what is the purpose why I’m living in this world, I just live life peacefully and not questioning much about what are the reasons why I’m here. That’s me during my high school time. But now, I started to realize that we are the purposive creature. Allah S.W.T. already mentioned in the Holy Quran that human is not made for nothing, he has the purposes in life.
The ultimate purpose of every Muslim is to worship Allah alone. I want to be a good Muslim in all aspects. Now, I’m in the process of learning and changing to be a better person in the future. I want to be a good daughter to my parents, a good sister, a good student, a good friends, a good wife, a good mother and all the good sides la so that all of them will glad to have me as their part =) My lecturer during the CFS time once had said that every man should develop divine attributes in himself, which include goodness and righteousness, truthfulness, justice etc. If man does not adopt these attributes to himself, he cannot do justice to himself and other fellow being as the vicegerent on the earth. So I hope, I can achieve all those good moral behaviors so that I can benefit the people around me.
My other purpose of life is I want to be a successful person in the future. I want to be somebody that can contribute to the society. I love the quote “I don't want to make one big change, but millions of small changes” ^__^

WHAT IS MY PURPOSE IN LIFE? AND THE IMPACT OF THE PURPOSES ON ME.

'What is my goal? What are the purpose of my life?'-these question were always bothering me a few years back. Sincerely, I really do not know what I want in my life. It is not because I do not have one, but the thing is I have too many of them in my thought . And as a Muslim, of course my ultimate goal is Jannah.
On that time, I started to list down all my goals and tried to specify them. Oh my God! I took hours of my day to do it. Alhamdulillah, I finally succeed and can clearly have a vision of my future. Yeah, I can see it clearly now! My goals!
For the time being, my goal is to focus on education. I should get 3.5 and above for the CGPA and I want to improve my communication skills. Besides, I also want to improve my attitude so that I can be a better person. Next, I also have listed the long and short term goals. In the future, I want to have a stable financial state so that I can support myself and the people under my care. And of course as a young lady, I would like to have a suitable soul mate so that I can build my happy family with him.
After listing my goals, I started to realize the importance of goals in our life. Having a purpose in life makes me wake up from my sleep. Before this, I always dream to be 'somebody', but it just a dream. I can't help myself by just dreaming all the time. I knew I'm not going to make it just by dreaming. No effort at all to achieve that dream.
Now, the goals really helps me in motivating myself so that the vision of my future become reality. When there is a purpose, there should be a way to achieve the purpose. Thus, I tend to be more focus to achieve what I am aiming for. I'll make sure to not astray from the focus point. My mind is clearly aim for the goals.
Besides, the importance of the goal or purpose it for me to remembering myself the do's and the don'ts. There are things that I should'nt do and there are things that I must do. By referring to the purpose in my life, InsyaAllah, I can mange myself. Yea, I should call it self-management which is very important to be a success human being.
For me, a sense of purpose simplifies my life and therefore i'm able to realize my own abilities to achieve the goals. When all personal goals such as career, education and family are aligned with my purpose, I will be authentic beings with integrity.
As a conclusion, now I totally understand why the purpose is vital in our life. I should have the target and aim for it. Definitely I do not want to miss it. The purpose will help us overcome challenges and bear pain. It makes us useful for others and the world, thereby giving our life meaning. And when we are aligned with a noble purpose, we are aligned with Allah while when we lose sight of our purpose, we lose sight of God. Everybody should have at least a purpose in his life.

APPLYING THE 3 HABITS TO BECOME AN EFFECTIVE PERSON

I am crazily addicted on watching dramas and this makes me really 'sick'. I just do not care what type of drama it is as long it has a good plot, then i'll watch it. See, how crazy and sick I am about drama. Thus, I am so called drama maniac.
My madness on watching drama is unbelievable. I know this bad habit will 'kill'me anytime as I tend to forget what is the purpose of my life in this world. I always take lightly on the important things that I should do as a student. I started to neglect my studies as I spent the whole night just for watching drama. Sometimes, I also 'forget' to sleep! Oh, no! It is too serious. I want to change the bad habit but I just do not know what to do ang what should I do?
Fortunately, I am taking Leadership and Management subject for this semester. On the 2nd days of the class, the lecturer was discussing about the 3 habits that should be apply to be an effective person. Then, as the assignment for us, she asked us to apply the 3 habits in our life. As I said, I really want to change, thus I take this opportunity to really apply then in order to be a better person. Somehow I doubt, will I make it? Will these 3 habits work for me? Can I be an effective person? I suddenly remember that ALLAH says that he will no change the fate of one nation if they themselves do not change theirs.
Finally, applied the 3 habits: be proactive, begins with the end in mind and put the first thing first. Now, it is already almost 3 months since I applied these 3 habits in my life. Amazingly, I feel really great! That is the only words that I can express regarding my condition right now. As I a applying the habits, I can control my addiction on watching dramas. Although I am not fully 'recovered', at least nowadays I get the quality time on studying and sleeping. Besides that, I manage to pray as early as I can (immediately after Adhan). Also, I do not delay watching my clothes. I have more space in my life as I reduced the watching hours for the drama (maximum only 2 hours).
As the conclusion, being an effective person is really not an easy task because we have to sacrifice our desire and then commit to the changes that we want. As for now, I really do not not whether this changes that I have made in my life will last. I just want to do the best for the best. I hope this is not only temporary although I cannot totally vanish the 'watching dramas session'.

PURPOSE IN MY LIFE
I really dun want to discuss about our ultimate purpose of life that is to be in heaven. Of course all people would say the same topic here. But I want to focus on how is the look of my path in this world while trying to get bless from Him. Each people have different path of life, different problem, which Allah had designed uniquely for each of his slaves. Of course my mission n vision would be different from my friend, I guess. After I have gone through a lot of trouble in my life, I just realize what is the most important thing I want from this life..to be independent from now on. That’s my goal, that’s my purpose of life, trying to stand on my own feet while there is no one I can rely on for my lifelong. Even they lend their shoulder to me, but they can’t lend their hand at the fullest. Maybe I should say “ Save your life before they come to save u”, because it will be late, and it’s too late for me. It’s not like I’m trying to get passport from my parents or run away or demand too much from this life, I only want to secure my future, plan my future with someone that I can hope and try my best to achieve the best in my study so that I can contribute something to my people. To be independent is choosing to be alone perhaps and I already become a bored person. I’m not ignoring people around me because they are still precious for me, helping me sometimes, but just let me be myself. Luckily I realize to have purpose in everything I do, or else I might lose to my anger, lose to those people that drag me into trouble, or maybe u might saw me wandering at street as an drug addict perhaps. Remember to have a purpose while walk ahead or we might just wander around the same place. No progression, but a stray life.

3 HABITS
A period of week is not enough for me to develop a proactive side. I’m not that type of person. Even in the lab, I only read the experiment at last minute and sit with a blur face, because I can’t understand or remember anything only by reading. But I’m proactive at ironing all my clothes once a week, so that I could spend more time to sleep.
I’m very lazy, a lazy girl with a lot of unreasonable excuses. Just ask my friend if you don’t believe me. But I try to motivate myself to get what I’m aiming in my future. So, I still have to sacrifice from now on, and put more energy in studying rather than eating or sleeping. I want to own my life, that’s what I should remember.
Put first thing first, finishing the assignment is my specialty. And put my family in first list, then my friend is the second. So, whatever I want to do something, I should know which one is more important and need to be settled first.

Purpose of life

There are many purposes of life. First, I want to get good result. Thus, I study hard to gain it. Second, I want to help others in anyways that I can. Sometimes I help my friends in explaining the subjects that they do not understand. Third, I want to reduce my family’ burdens and make them happy. I study hard to achieve good results and try my best to maintain it and try to apply the scholarship if any. Thus, I can be a good role model to my family and my family will no need to worry about me be happy. Fourth, I want to marry with a guy that has good education, family and good Muslim that can lead me to the right part which is Jannah. I know that I am not a good one, but I try my best to change for a better. But, the main purpose of life is to worship Allah S.W.T. as the Creator of this world. We need to be a good vicegerent on this earth. Therefore, we can have good life in here and hereafter.

3 Habits

Habits of highly effective people
The first habit is being proactive. In this term, I try to manage my lecture notes in the different files. So, it is easy for me to find when I need it. Besides that, in this week, I try to finish all the work given before due date. For example, I manage to do EAW outline although I am not quite sure that my answer is right or wrong. But, I try my best to do it. Then, I also manage to do advance calculus’s assignment. But I cannot finish it because there are some questions that make me confuse. So, I stop doing it until my friends do it. So I can ask them. But, it’s okay because due date is this week. Then, I still have some time to think and do it. This Tuesday, I will have quiz for mathematical method subject. It is quite tough subject but learning it is so fun among other subjects. For preparation, I manage to do all the exercises in the textbook. It took a long time to do all of it but I believe I can do it. So, I try my best to do all.
The second habit is beginning with the end in mind. I do all these because of my goals. I have many goals in my life that I want to achieve. The most important thing right now that I want is to make my parents and my family happy. I am not quite smart girl but I already promise to myself that I will do everything to make my parents happy since I enter CFS IIUM. So, I study hard to achieve good results to make them happy when they have a daughter likes me. I try my best to compete with others. Sometimes, I will proud with myself that I able to do it but there also time when I almost to give up. When I thing it back, I cannot give up. My friends always give me spirit to do it well and not giving up. Then, I will work hard to maintain and increase my CGPA. Apart from that, entering IIUM is the best part of my life. The situation here change my life for a better than before. Before this, I do not know many things. This is another goal of my life which is changing my life to become a better person in this world. I manage to take part in many activities that organized here. It makes me able to know many people, make friends with them and get more experiences. Thus, I use the experiences that I get to change my life now.
The third habit is put first thing first. Actually, I like to wake up early. When I wake up early, I can pray and read Al- Quran before I start my day. Then, I manage to arrange my schedule on what to do for that day. I feel very active on that day if I manage to wake up early. Besides that, I always make a list on what to do for avoiding me from forgetting it. Then, I try to follow it. So, I can manage my time and my work well. The most important thing that I take care is my money. I need to plan it to avoid me from spend more money for unnecessary thing and at the end of semester, I will be broke. I also like other person that has many things that I want to buy but I choose to spend my money based on priority first. I will postpone my desire on something for another time. The thing I keep promise to myself since I apart from my parent is avoid asking money from them. I do not want them to worry to find the money and send to their daughter here. Therefore, I will write each cent that I spend in a notebook. So that, I know where my money’s go at the end and I still have the money until the end of semester and enough to start for next semester before PTPTN put the money for next semester.

1) Be Proactive
For me, one of the things that I’ve been proactive is that, today I just borrowed a book that related to my subject. The book is in limited quantity in the library, so with the feeling of being proactive, I went to the library to borrow the book immediately, if I’m late, definitely I have nothing to be referred to in studying. Isn’t it cool, since I’m not a “librarian” person. I’ve change. Yes! 
2) Begin with the end in mind
This habit is all about having goal and destination in your life. Since my first step in this garden of knowledge and virtue (IIUM), I’ve set my mind that everything I do is just for my family and of course for Allah SWT. Sometimes, I think I’m here mainly for my family over my own self. But then, I know that I should be doing this, I mean studying not only for my family but for myself as well. I really want to achieve the very best in dunia and akhirah. Everything to me is to be centered to my one and only goal, for the sake of my family and me myself in the future. With that, my life would not go out of the desired track.
3) Put first thing first
Well, this habit seems to be sooo useful while shopping (oh, women’s favourite, no it should be girl’s favourite, woman sound too old) haha. The things I’m doing is that, before shopping, I would prepare a list of things that I want to buy in order to restrain me from being overspending. I will write it with the price as well, so that it doesn’t go over budget. But sometimes when seeing my friends bought some delicious and attractive things, it does lead me to spend on unnecessary things. Ahh, it’s all about nafs, I should be strong to fight it. Haha. In this case, determinations are strongly needed. Or I should not bring bank’s card and bring a small amount of money.hihihi

Thank You 

Salam madam,

My purpose of life.

Every body in this world should have purpose of life. Having purpose for me such like giving us direction to continue our life and making our life meaningful. But it is undeniable that not all people could find their purpose of life, some would still find it and some would still not realize that they need purpose of life. Thank God that I have found it.
Alhamdulillah. My ultimate purposes of life are of course to serve Him and to be His vicegerent.

These two purposes of life will eventually lead for the other purpose. We live for no other except Allah. He is our creator, the only one that we should serve for. I’m still in the process of achieving them. The life long process that I hope will not stop until He takes my life.

I have many dreams to be achieved of course, same as other people. One thing for sure, I want to make people around me happy or in other word, I don’t want make the people around me worry about me. Even I know that the wariness is because they care about me. Enough of being troublesome to them, I just should let they live with just little worry about me. I just want to be a good daughter, a good sister, friend, a good student and a good person in general. ^_^

You know, life is not that easy. Test will continue coming, but the most important thing is, we should stay strong. It’s ok not to get what we wish for, because things that we wish for might not be good for us and thing that we don’t wish to get might be good for us. As you said, be strong for the people that love us. Indeed, I agree with that. All praises to Him, the most gracious the most merciful for giving me such an exciting life. Hope that He’ll stay with us and we are able to go through this life nicely. Insha’Allah.

Thank you.

Sincerely:

PURPOSE IN LIFE...

SALAM MDM..
My ultimate purpose in life is to be a good servant of Allah S.W.T.Other than that i want to be a good daughther to my parent,a good friend,a good student,to get a good job in future and to become a good wife and mother.InsyaALLAH...even though i might not succeed in all above, but i want to put my best effort to achieve it.

Why should we have purpose in life?
Everything in this world have its own reason and purpose. I personally believe that each human being should have their own purpose in life. There will be no reason to live if there is no purpose. As a Muslim the main purpose in life is to become a good servant to Allah SWT, a good khalifah and attain jannnah in hereafter. I really took quite a long time to realize my purpose and the reason why I should have it in life. As we know the main purpose is to achieve Jannah we will perform our ibadah such as prayers and fasting in a better way and more sincerely .
We should have purpose in life so that our life become more meaningful and have a soul in it. Just imagine if we live this life with out a purpose, it will be so boring that we do everything is for nothing. Its like walking in a path that doesn’t have an end to it. I feel my life is so meaningful as I know I live to achieve Jannah. Having a purpose in life also will help us on having a clear view of what we want in life. It will help us in making a better choice in life in many aspect. As we know life is full of choices, it requires us in making a choice in every step in life. When we have a clear purpose we can make a choice that will lead us to that path.
Other than that having a purpose in life will make us a better person physically and mentally. It shows that a person is clear and confident about what he want to do with his life and what he want to achieve. When we have a purpose in life we will work hard and strive to the end in order to achieve it. We might meet many obstacle and difficulties through the path but we will be able to overcome it with the help of Allah SWT as its Him who test us with difficulties and also gives us the solutions. Other than that we will be able to avoid wasting our time doing something unnecessary that will disturb our way to achieve the purpose in life. It will also make us realize that there is another life after this world which is the eternal life and be prepared for it.

7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE

1. Be Proactive

To me, be proactive is the ability to control our needs, rather than have it control us. Self-determination, choice, and the power to decide according to the conditions and circumstances that we are facing. Being a proactive person sounds simple but I realise that it is not that easy because, first, I tried hard not to stay up and watch my Hindi drama but at the end I can’t resist myself by doing so. I can’t sleep without knowing what has happened to the story. I want to control myself not to watch the drama but finally it took control over me.

Second, I plan not to listen to songs on weekdays but I couldn’t succeed as well. Therefore, I think I failed to apply this habit in my daily life. I realised that being proactive will make us more organized. I will try harder next time.

2. Begin with the End in Mind

It is more about personal leadership, leading oneself, towards what we consider as our goal. I always think about my goal or aim. For example, when I pray I will think about the love of Allah SWT towards me, the rewards that He will give if I concentrate (khusyuk) in my prayers. Whenever I think of doing something wrong, I quickly repent and fear of Allah, thinking about His punishments later.

I also manage to control my time watching movies (not included my Hindi drama). I don’t watch any movies when I am in Kuantan because thinking of my promises to my mother and my responsibilities as a student as well as daughter. When, I study, I set my goal to achieve cgpa more than 3.5 at the end of my studies here. It helps me a lot to study hard.

After, I start practicing this habit, I realised that I become more focused person. I am not a daydreaming person anymore. I can pay full attention in my classes as well as in my prayers. I realised that begin with the end in mind will help us a lot to reach our goal and to have passion and spirit to overcome all the barriers in order to get want we want. Therefore, I think I succeeded in practicing this habit in this one week time.

3. Put First Thing First

This is about organising and implementing activities in line with the aims established in habit no 2 which is begin with the end in mind. Habit 2 is the mental creation whereas habit 3 is the physical creation. This was quite simple for me because I usually have my own schedule on what I should do first. I always focus on things that are important but not urgent because urgent things cause stress to me.

I know that I have many roles in my life as a vicegerent of Allah SWT, as a daughter, sister, student, and friend. I prioritize them according to the situation. When I start practicing this habit, I start to define my goals specifically which I wish to accomplish. For example, in my role as a daughter, I have a goal of talking to my mother every day and to my father three days once. This is to show that I do love them although I am far from them. I don’t mind talking five to ten minutes just by spending a few cents for my parents. I am very happy doing that.

Once I have defined a number of goals for the upcoming week, I write it in my diary and make sure there is no any kind of interference. For example, to do my laboratory report, wash my clothes, clean my room, arrange my notes, and go for shopping. I tried my best to do it accordingly and I succeeded in doing so. I schedule them and keep it on the schedule. I think this habit is the one I liked the most. It helps a lot for me to improve myself. I can see the changes in me. Nowadays, I prepare everything starting from the dress that I am going to wear till books needed to bring, for the next day class before I go to bed. I do pray all my obligatory prayers on time and I feel happy about it. I really hope that I can continue practicing this habit till the end of my life. I also aimed to achieve the first habit as well, soon, insya Allah.

Purpose of my life

Since i’m a university student, one of my ultimate purposes of life is to graduate with first degree honour in mathematics. I need to set up my mind to focus on study in order to achieve this aim. Based on previous semester result, i think i’m on the right path and i have to continue do my best in study. However, sometimes i didn’t get good result even though i thought i had already prepared and do my best in study. I have to remind myself the reasons ‘why i’m here in university?’ to motivate myself and remind those purpose of my life. Besides that, i want to be a proud daughter towards my parents and a good sister towards my younger brother and sisters. I want make my parents proud of me by being respectful, hardworking, obedient daughter. I love to pamper and shower my younger sisters with love. I want to be a good role model to encourage them to do better than me. Since i’m 21 years old, i want to explore and discover new things in this world in my young age. There are a lot of precious things out there that i can learn and improve myself. I want to be more independent person and less depends on other people to achieve my dream. I want to try new things that i never done before like part-time job and explore new places with my own money. I hope from these activities, i can gain experience and appreciate things around me.

3 Habits

First, be proactive. On second week of this semester, I lost my father. He passed away due to heart attack. He had been suffered heart attack since last year. The Eid Fitri this year means a lot for my family. I never saw my dad enjoyed the Eid Fitri to the heart content as much as this year. His lost make me appreciate what I have today. When I remember him, I cry alone although I hold myself from doing so. I regret that I have not done many things for him. I tell myself that ‘You still can do something for him, right?’ Since the day after he leaved us, I start recite suroh yaasin for him after I have done with solat subuh and do not forget to pray to God and ask for his forgiveness. I start the early morning at 6.30 a.m. as usual with subuh prayer. Before I go to toilet to take ablution, I always remind myself to wake up beloved roommates. After doing for weeks, I realize that I’m no longer sleep after subuh and not sleepy anymore in morning class sometimes. It is really hard to control and resist myself from the old habit-sleep after subuh. From now on, I hope that I will keep consistent do this thing and be a better daughter for my farther.

Second, begin with the end of mind. I have gotten scholarship from KPT since 1st year. Last year, I never pay attention on how I spend my allowances. I randomly spend the money on foods, clothes, gadgets and treat my family and friends. I took the money from ATM machine whenever I running out of money in my pocket. During last semester break, I thought on where and how I spent my money. Then, I realized how ridiculously I spend a big amount of money in just one year. Hence I decided to be more disciplined in spending money. Starting on this semester, I spend about RM200 for each month and I took my money just once in a month from the ATM machine. After doing rough calculation, I will save about RM15k after graduating. I decide to be moderate in spending money. From this act, I can save a lot of money for future and emergency cases. I can spend the money later on something worth in future.

Lastly, put first things first. I think that I become more organize compare to previous semester. After I have done with my weekly laundry on Friday, I organize and list down things that should be done on that weekend and next week on a small whiteboard in my room. Every day, I stare the whiteboard and sometimes I sigh just by looking the hectic schedule this semester. haha…I teach myself to follow the schedule obediently in becoming a good student. I will analyze things that I should done first and determine which assignments or homework that I should not do when I freaking lazy and tired and replace it with some tasks that simpler that do not require a lot of usage of mind and reading.

What is my purpose in my life?

My purpose in life is to become a good vicegerent in earth. All of us know that Islam has give us many guidance to show us a good path and it depend on us whether to follow it or not or whether to become a good or bad person. It is not easy to become a good people because I have to face many obstacles and sometimes I feel that it is very difficult to become a good people.

First, I try myself to pray on time everyday, but it was so hard due to my laziness. Sometimes I think that how I want to become a good vicegerent in earth like what Allah ask us if I cannot have a good care on my pray. When I have a lot of works to do and I have to stay up in order to finish my work, as a consequence, although I set up my clock in 6.30 am, but I will wake up at 7. I always feel bad when it’s happen. Then, to become a good people, I always tell myself to give a lot of sadaqah. Even I do not have much money, but I think that if I only give smile to others, it will also be consider as sadaqah. However, we always know that woman’s emotion is like roller coster especially when the time is near with their period. When the times come, I always feel like to become angry and cannot smile to others. It was just like I break my rules that I make to myself. Sometimes I try to control myself because I know that it is not good to have anger in you because it is one of syaitan’s like, but in the end, I will cry to myself. I also say to myself to become good to people. I know that a good person is not only care about their relationship to God but they must also care with their relationship with other people. I try not to become arrogant to other people, listen to what people advice me and try not unsatisfied with other’s success. When I make doa, I also make it to all muslim in this world although I do not know them because I always remain in myself that Allah will not reject my doa as long as I make doa to others. I always tell to myself, if I want to enter the jannah, I must try to be good people. I know that Allah will not look at me but He will look at my hard work to become good people. Although I do not consistent to become a good people, but I always pray that He give me strength and do not make my heart far from His awakening. I also hope that one day, with my hard work to become a good people, I can see the face of Allah and the prophet one day in hereafter. I hope that with His kindness, Allah will let me enter the paradise InsyaAllah.

What is My Purpose in Life?
My life is the most precious gift that has been granted to me by Allah S.W.T, Our Most Merciful Creator. My life didn’t begin at birth and it won’t end at death. Therefore, I should make full use of what is given to me. I must have a definite purpose in life so that I have a clear view on which path of life I am are heading to.
My first and most ultimate purpose of life is to enter Jannah (paradise). In order to achieve that, I must recognize The Creator, be grateful to Him, worship Him, surrender myself to Him and obey the laws that He has determined for me which means worship. Whatever I do in the course of that worship for example eating, sleeping, dressing, working, and enjoying between birth and death must be only to get blessings from Allah S.W.T.
My second goal is to be a good vicegerent on earth as a Muslim. I want to become the best Muslim as I can, in order to achieve that goal of mine I have to first play my best role as a daughter, sister, student and friend for the moment. The older I get the more the role I am going to get. Therefore, I have to play these roles as perfect as possible which eventually would lead me to become good vicegerent on earth in future.
Third purpose is, to have a balanced life physically and mentally to give me spiritual support to face all the hardships and failures and to continue life. I would be more determined of what I am doing and what would be the consequences that I will be facing later. Therefore, I will be stronger, both physically and mentally. Thus, avoid my mind from any negative kind of actions such as depression or stress.
Lastly, having a purpose makes my life more meaningful and worth. It makes me realise the beauty of life and appreciate all the creation of Allah S.W.T. Having a purpose makes the first step to have a bright future. Therefore, every creation especially humans must have a detailed purpose in his life for here and hereafter.

my purpose of life is that i want to be successful in here and hereafter. To reach that purpose i should work harder not only in my study but i also should increase my ibadah to Him. In my study, i work harder to get new knowledge from day to day by always revise back what the lecturer had teach me in the class and i also do a short notes to make me easy to memorize it. Although i do my best in my study, i never forget to fulfill my duty to Allah. I try my best to pray early, always seek forgiveness from Allah and always do good deeds. So that i will be balance between here and the hereafter. INSYAALLAH....

Purpose of life
My purpose in life is I want to become a successful person in here and hereafter. I want my parent to be proud of me having me, Radziatul Neeza as her daughter. I love them so much. I don’t want them to get hurt. I want them to be happy all the time. I have seen all the difficulties that my parent going through in order to bring happiness in the family. They work very hard. They rarely neglect all their children’s wishes even that wish is very hard to be fulfilled. I have a short story to share with you madam. One day, when we are in johor heading negeri Sembilan (my house), I said to myself while enjoying the view of kelapa sawit plantation “bestnye kalau dapat makan durian” (I know it is impossible because it is not even fruits season, and plus in the middle of highway). I have carsickness, therefore it is a must for me to sleep in the car to avoid nausea and vomiting. Suddenly, mama woke me up saying “adik, bangun meh.jom mam durian”. Ya Allah, I am speechless. I don’t even realize that they actually heard what I’m saying just now. I cried when thinking of that memory. I really love them. Therefore, I want to study super hard in order to give back what they gave to me. I want them to stop working and just relax. I want to fulfill all their wishes and the most important things, I want to be a solehah daughter, a mithali mother and a solehah wife. I want my life, my family life to be bless by Allah and have His Guidance, insyaAllah.

SALAM MADAM...

THE THREE HABITS.
The three effective habits are be proactive, put first thing first and begin with end in mind.
So after i get to know about the three habits,i try to applied it to my life.As i like practical more than theories.
The first one which is to be proactive, what i personally understand about this habit is work hard and not to be lazy. One of my major thing in my life that i want to change is to pray on time mainly subuh and asar prayers. So i tried to be proactive on that.I get to do it for a few days then i fail in it.For example when there are about 15 mins for asar prayer,i'll think that i can sleep for 15mins then get to pray but end up i overslept.
The second habit is to put first thing first.Actually i had been trying to practice this habit since i was in secondary school.I tried my best to do and give more priority to the things which are more important.Until now i do that but not fully succeed. There are sometime i fail to do that and end up wasting my time on unimportant matters.
Finally is to begin with the end in mind. What i understand with this habit is to know the cosequences and the effect of doing something before you do it. This is really a simple and natural habit to be followed but people tends to miss it out including myself. The simplest example is when we wake up in the morning we should know what we want to achieve on that day and what should be done. The day will be really be messed up if we didn't plan what to do as how some of my days espeacially the weekends went. Here again i fail to follow this habit fully.
In conclusion,I can say that I didn't succeed to follow the three habits effectively. Therefore i would like to start over again to practice this three habit in order to improve my life and to discard the bad habits that i have.InsyaAllah..

Thank You Madam

Every day we do the same thing, wake up,go to work or class, come back home and the day just meet the end. Then,we are going to build up a family, have children, enter into advanced age and just pass away like that.Don’t we ever wondered why we are being here? What is the real reason of our existences? As a muslim,I believe wholeheartly that there is must be a definite reason why Allah S.W.T has created us.
The first thing that I am pretty sure why we should have a purpose in life is that the world is just our temporary destination. Our next destination is the Akhirat where we will be buried forever.Allah S.W.T has given the chances for us to grab as much as possible the oppportunity to do kindness while we are still alive and avoiding to do sins. All our actions in this world would be counted in Judgement day to decide either we will admit into paradise or hell. Moreover,as a khalifah it is our responsibilities to utilize this world as good as we could and make it a better place.
All of us must have a purpose in life.Simple to say, what is our main goal.Since our childhood,we have always being asked our ambition or what we wanna be when we grow up.Someone wanna be a doctor, engineer, scientist, singer or anything else. That kind of question is actually play a big role in our life. When we have set up our goal, then a clear strategy can be build up in order to achieve it.We are sure and being alert what are we doing and heading to the right direction.Having a purpose will help us to driven our life and sometimes put us in better life status such as having a high monthly salary.
In contrast, not having a purpose in life put us in a feeble situation and being stuck in the same condition. There is no development in ourselves as nothing is there to driven or motivate us to do better. We will have blur and confuse thinking and leading to the wrong direction. That is why having purpose in life is something that is really important and cannot be leave behind or denied.
We live for others. That is our next purpose in life.It has always be our natural fitrah to be loved by others. In order to be loved by others,we must treat them selflessly. The closest example is our dearest parents. The two persons that have contribute a lot of efforts in our life.We should put deep care about their feelings, their welfare when they are old.On the other hand,we also have to make sure there is something beneficial that others can regain from ourselves.
In conclusion, purpose put us in whole lively world and give us clear vision about our future and also in hereafter.

Last week, our leadership and managemant lecturer, you had tought me the first three habits of most effective person eventhough the habits have seven of them.Well, the first three habits are be proactive, begin with the end in mind and put the first things first. To tell the truth, all these three habits are the ‘things‘ i’m still trying to adapt with this semester.
Firstly, talking about being proactive. From my point of view,a proactive person is someone that is able to create or control a situation rather than just respond to it which also means to act upon and not to be acted upon.I talked to myself that if i want to change to a better person, then it must come from my heart willingly and it was not because i was forced to do it.I bet all of us did realize that if we did something that we weren’t sincere while doing it,the things would not last longer.Hence,by following your advice to be a proactive person,I have modified my daily routine starting last week. The first change that i tried to adapt was perform solat earlier and recite Quran every day.At first,i thought it was kind of hard. But alhamdulillah, after several days i did it,i could feel the nikmat and barakah from it.It made my schedule more systematic and i always being alerted by the time prayer.I also sleep early ( around 12pm )and woke up early (around 6 am) to refill my energy that have been used for that day.The effects were kind of amazing..!!i did not feel sleepy in the class eventhough in a bore class ( UNGS class especially..hehe) and also my brains work very good as it was easier for me to catch up the lessons. If some of you thought that it was not valuable to sleep in such a long period ( for myself i need atleast 5 hours sleeping hour) while we could study more, then it was up to ourselves.I think that it was better for me to sleep to refill my energy rather than doing such a meaningless activities such as watching films and chatting until late night. It was not i was kind of allergic to these ‘things’ because i also did it but during weekend only.
Secondly, begin with the end in mind. Here,i have to play with my imagination as i could not see with my eyes at present.I must work harder to make the things become a reality.I have applied this habit by making a personnal mission statement.I wrote on a piece of paper and stamped it on my table wall so that i could read it everyday. It made me motivated to keep trying harder and try my fullest effort.I listed what i want to be and do in the future. It did make sense.
Lastly, put the first things first. It sounds simple right?but most of us do not realize that we always put the irrelevant things first.Same goes with me.I always have trouble to decide which things are the most important. But it is simple actually if we think deeply and more open minded.Take for example, myself.Last week,i got 2 quizzes which were scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday. At the same time,i also have to revise the other subject as the exam is just around the corner. At that time,i used my rationality in thinking which things i must put as the first. The quizzes both during that week and they also contribute a huge percentage for my carry mark. Then,i decided to fully use my weekend ( Saturday and Sunday) to revise the other subject while i revise for the quizzes and for exam at the same time. Thanks to ALLAH,i really think i have made such a brilliant decision..!hehe.Things would proceed smoothly if we not think very hard.
Thanks to Madam Norhayati,i still doing these three precious habits consistently and hope it will last forever. At first, while trying to adapt with these habits,i almost give up and would not do it anymore. But,once you do it,it will flips your world 360 degree..!not 180 but 360.hehe.That’s all.Thank you.

SYUHADA BINTI MUHAMAD (1010944)
Having a purpose in life is a must for all people. Finding our life purpose and our deepest life intentions can help us to move with greater focus and clarity in our daily life. My main purpose in life is to success in life and also in the hereafter. I want to be an excellent student, a good daughter for my parent and also a good Muslim. I found out what I have done to fulfill the three habits that madam have taught us.
Firstly, be proactive. I have list down all my homework and paste it in my room. I feel so happy when one by one of my homework had done and my life becomes well-organized than before. For homework, I put a deadline to make sure that I finished my work on that day. Besides, I tried my best to avoid postpone any work that should be completed.
On Thursday night, I started to plan my weekend. I divided my time for study in certain subjects and not to be forgotten is our ICT class on Saturday and Sunday. Fuhh!! I am so tired when thinking about my class schedule. But when I think from the positive side, pack schedule makes me more appreciate my time. I really need to arrange my life properly so that everything can be done smoothly.
Next habit is Begin with the End in Mind. I am very sure that all of us hope to enter ‘Jannah’. But, we should realize that we have to prepare ourselves to be a good Muslim. As a Muslim, we should believe that everyone will face death. It is either we are young or old, death is a must. I hope that ‘Jannah’ will be our next destination after this life.
For my study, I have my own target for this semester. I hope that my dreams will come true and I will never let my cgpa decline. I paste my target cgpa on my study table so that I can see it every day and it encourages me to put more effort on my study. I want to make my parent happy and proud of me. Amin..
Besides, my target is also to improve my English language proficiency. Sorry madam, I know that my grammar is so worse. Hope you can understand. I am trying to improve it.Hu3.. I started to borrow English story book from library, hear English song and practice speaking in English with my friends. It helps me a lot.
Put first thing first! Now, I realize that I have spent more time to sleep rather than study. Since your last class madam, I have tried to manage my time, so that I do not waste it or regret it later. I will make sure that my time for study is over my time for sleep. I started to not sleep after ‘Subuh’ and it needs a lot of support and confidence to change whatever that have been my habit before. Other than that, now I am more preferred to study at library or at our kulliyah after I finished my class. This is one of the precautions that I take to make sure that I do not sleep when I get in the room.
And the last thing that I considered in this habit is pray on time. Insha’Allah, Allah S.W.T will help us if we always take care of our Ibadah and our relationship with Him. I ever thought that, a person can get on time when he or she had promised with someone to meet. But, why we can’t pray on time when we had promised with Allah S.W.T. let’s think about it. I will try my best to take care of my ibadah. He is the one that can help me in anytime and anywhere and only Him that can hear all my joy and sorrow.
Not much that I can write. But, when I followed these three habits, I feel proud of myself because I think that I have done it on the right way. Thank you for madam Norhayati. You have motivated me to be more proactive..=)

Salam.
"What is My Purpose in Life?"
Mostly, the main purpose in my life is to make my parents and my siblings happy. Until today, everything that I have done or I will do, I done/do it because of them. Firstly, I start to realize that having education and scholarship is very important only when I'm taking SPM. Besides, one of my parents’ hopes is to see one of their children can study oversea. So, I struggled in my study and Alhamdulillah, I got result with flying colors. Unfortunately, I failed to get offer for studying oversea but I still got the chances to go to the interview. My parents said that maybe my 'rezeki' are more in Malaysia. Alhamdulillah, I got the local scholarship.

Secondly, I start to save money because I want to buy something for my parents and my siblings. It is very pleased when I bought the things with my own money and got to see their happy face. I remember that I have spend about RM1000 a week for my siblings (my little sisters and brother) and my parents. I 'belanja them makan-makan', and bought things that they want to buy. That money is my salary that I have save when I'm working part time. Every times, I come home; I will take them for shopping. Sometimes, I just buy food ingredients and cook for them and I always bake cakes (cheese cake & moist chocolate cake) and cheese tart for them. Furthermore, one of my purposes to save money is I want to use it for oversea holiday with my family.

Thirdly, I struggle in my study and I join the societies because I want to graduate and to get a good and suitable job for me. I hope by joining any society, I can enhance my soft skills such as computer and communication skills because it is very important in work life. I want to get a good job also because of my family. I want contribute some of my salary money for them. I hope I can help them, when they need my help.

In conclusion, my purpose in my life is to make my family happy and help them when they need my help. I also want to save lot of money.

First, my purpose in life is to make my parents happy with what i am doing. I always pray my family would live in harmony and enough necessity of life. Second is to graduate with good CGPA. Every student also wants to graduate with flying colours to get a good job. It’s same for me. For me, good CGPA is to make my loan be cut. So I no need to pay my entire loan that will terrible my life with debt in future. Although my purpose in life is to do this and to do that, the important one is to became a good servant to Allah swt. This is the main of the purpose for every muslim in this life. The other purpose is only for the betterment of my life in this world.

As a muslim of course I want to be successful in this world and also hereafter. In order to achieve this goal, I will start from being a good child to my parents. I will do all my responsibilities the best that I can do. Besides that in my study, I also will do my best in getting good result. With the good result, I hope I will make my parents be proud of me.
I also have a dream, that someday I will have my own book store. I hope my dream will become true and I can help other people from this. For example, I can provide them with any book that they need. It also can become a source of knowledge for me and other people.

What is the important of having purpose in life? For me this question is not an easy question. There is no specific formula to answer this but now is the time for me to use my power of mind to respond on this. Sometime I am not really understand why there are some people willing to say “life is meaningless”. I am totally not agree with this statement. Life is meaningful and that is why people must have purpose in life. For these people that always think in this way, they actually do not know what the things that they are doing now and what should they do for the future. So, I want to make it simple, because life is meaningful, I should know the road or direction and the target of what I want to achieve in life.

My purposes of life are to be a good Khalifah of Allah(S.W.T), to be a good child of my parents, to be an excellent student (at least I can continue my study until Master level) and to be a good person to everyone (including siblings, relatives, friends, lecturers etc.). All of these sounds easy but it is not easy to achieve IF I don’t really understand each of them.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious Most Merciful, Assalaamualaikum wbt :)

First of all, thank you madam Norhayati for giving me this such topic. It make me clear about my purpose of life. Ok, here we go.
Have you ever asked yourself these questions? “What is the purpose of life? Why are we here?” Having a purpose will lead a person to his or her final destination although the path may be difficult. "The person without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder" . It was quoted by Thomas Carlyle.
The Holy Quran tells us, in Surah Adh-dhariyaat, 51:56
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ
I have only created jinns and men, that they may serve Me.
In surah Al-An’aam, 6:162
قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحۡيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ
Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds.
Based on these two sentences, we were created by Allah, for a noble purpose. That purpose is to serve our generous Landlord, as His trustees, His servant and agents on earth. He created us to thank and worship Him on terms and under His conditions so that He will provide us with everything we need to succeed in both this life and the next life. Worshipping Allah also means accept Allah's Will with open mind and heart and also trust that He is planning the best thing for you. No matter how busy are we, we must perform the regular five times prayer in the stated times, pay the zakat, fasting the whole month of Ramadhan and perform pilgrimage to the House of Allah in Mecca at least once in the life if ability is still there and the way is safe.

Furthermore, for me, the life here is considered as an examination for us. Reward and punishment will be counted directly to each person and it is only Allah, alone who will be the Final Judge over all of us. Every person will be rewarded or punishing according to their attitude, appreciation and efforts during this stay on earth. A purpose of life is to be tested to see if we will keep the commandments of Allah. We wonder, why there is so much suffering in this world? Please remember that this life is not a paradise. It is a time for testing, for endurance and gratitude. The paradise surely comes later to those who accepts good times and hard times with patience, sincerity and serenity. That is the most important purpose of life for Muslim including me.

O My Lord,
I do not deserve Thy blessings of paradise,
Yet I do not have the strength to withstand Thy torments of hell fire,
Thus, accept my repentance and grant me,
Thy forgiveness for my sins,
For Thou art the Forgiver of great sins.

Other than that, the purpose is to seek knowledge in the university of life as well as formal education. As said in hadith, "Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim (male and female)." It is very important because knowledge is the basis of all good. It generates actions that are based on the commandments of Allah and the instructions of the Prophet. When we are granted knowledge, we appreciate Allah's creation more, and become more acquainted with Allah's attributes and qualities. As a result we then submit to Him humbly. This, in return, generates in our heart a fear, which is a full appreciation and love. We need to realize that sometimes Allah breaks our spirit to save our soul, He breaks our heart to make us whole, He sends us pain so we can be stronger, He sends us failure so we can be humble, He sends us illness so we can take care of ourselves and sometimes Allah takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything He gave us so, life teaches us to be strong, careful, humble and grateful to Him.

My next purpose of life is to make people around me happy and motivated. I will make my parent proud of me by being a good daughter to them. I will take good care of them when they are old like how they take good care of me during child. It is impossible to equalize their concern with us but I will try my best to comfort them because for me they are my sunshine. I also want to live everyday fully as if it was my last. I wish one day I could have my own happy family to continue my next generation. I want to have a stable life which is having good relationship with Allah and people, stable financial, good health and so on so that I can contribute something to the community.
Lastly, InsyaAllah, I will try my best to keep hold of those purposes of life so that Allah will guide my steps and does not let me go astray because He is the only one who showed me the way. That's all, Thank you for reading! :)

Assalamualaikum madam :)

The first goal in my life was to earn lots of money. But when I think about it back then,it is not right to set up such goal. Then I rethink. What I really want is I want to travel to many places. I want to experience many things in this world so that I can appreciate life more. I believe with that kind of goal I can get closer to Allah. After all, that is the main purpose that all Muslims should have.

Salam..my purpose of life is to be someone useful to the others. Generally, I wish i could do something that can help people in every aspect of life. Im studying, seek for knowledge to become someone who have power to help people. But the main purpose is to make myself near to the creator for sure. I want to enter the heaven. That is why I want to help people not only physically but also mentally (soul). In Islam itself was mentioned that we are created to worship Allah. This worship does not only mean to pray, fasting and all that but to work and to do everything because of Allah. I want to be someone produktif who always trying to go to the next level. All in all, i choose the quote below to represent my purpose of life,
“Keep your hands busy with works; keep your mouth busy with remembrance of Allah and leave inheritance as much as possible. Love your neighbor as you love yourself”.
Thank you
