Alhamdulillah, parenting subject is one of the subject that i have been so excited to learned. And my expectations comes true when mdm norhayati gives us such a very nice thoughts and surely open my mind to think further as a human. Human which someday will become a parent that will take the responsibilities towards the children insyaAllah. So far, parenting class had made me motivated in certain aspects and i hope it can boost up my energy to put more efforts towards achieving my ultimate goals in life. :")
in a period of time, i spent my time to go through surah Luqman.in this surah, there are many good advices that i can take as "ibrah"through this life.in a few days from this task was given, i was actually forgot and feel lazy to spent time open the Quran as i currently period at that time. then after a while, i feel that i have to read and understanding what this surah is saying because it is amanah from the lecturer and also it brings benefit to me. i had tried to memorize the verses of this surah but unfortunately, i could remember only several verses. So, i take decisions to just read the translation and understand it. thus, i want to highlight one of the verses , 31:18 which means " dan janganlah kamu memalingkan wajah dari manusia kerana sombong dan janganlah berjalan dibumi dengan angkuh. sungguh, Allah tidak menyukai orang orang yang sombong dan membanggakan diri" this verses remind me to always be humble to everyone and especially towards Allah. everyday we have to always praise to Allah no matter the day we had thought for is bad. we also we should be kind and help others, like friends especialy an orphan. i just love this surah Luqman so much because it contains so many advices that happen in our everyday life.
Task 2 madam hayati told us last class to right the thought and our journey how we end our night everyday and advice us to read something good like Quran as our last read. through that journey, sometimes i end my night with scrolling my media social, reading chats, and reflect what i have done through that day and sometimes i end my last word with zikr and hearing Quran. i observe that there is difference when i end my last deed scrolling media social and hearing Quran. when i hear the recitation of the quran, i feel calm and said to myself that you have done your best and any stress that i undergo through the day was go away.my heart feel at ease.
Waalaikumussalam madam :)..for me,this course is so interesting and awesome..from the 1st assignment it's give me awareness to reflect myself how i was doing my life for this 22years.also give me huge bump when i question myself how close i was to alquran throughout my life until now?:(
The first week is about my task to complete a memorization of a surah or knowing and understanding it’s meaning. I have already memorized Surah Al-Waqiah since I was in form four. But I still did not know what is the meaning of this Surah. Like everyone, I only know by reading this surah, one will never fall into poverty, and all the needs of the person will be fulfilled. Thanks to the lecturer for giving this chance that the thought to look for the meaning of this surah comes to my mind.
Al-Waqiah can be defined as the End of the Day. This surah mentions about the occurrence of the end of the day, the rewards of the good deeds, the punishments of the bad practices and the glorious of Al-Quran. No one can deny of the occurrence of the Qiyamat. It is mentioned that the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking. It is not the same with the occurrence of the earthquake at some country, but it is more than that which is one can already tell it is Qiyamat when that happened. This surah also mentioned on the situations in the Paradise and Hell. The Paradise with full of pleasure such as varieties of food, beautiful maiden and many more while the Hell with full of torment like drinking the boiling water and so on. It is very scary if we want to imagine the life in Hell. May Allah guide us to the true path and keep us away from the punishment of Hell.
Last but not least, Surah Al-Waqiah also mentions about the glorious book of Allah which is Al-Quran. There will never be an alteration or a corruption on this glorious book as there are people who have memorized the entire Quran in every generation since the time of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and in our own time. -nasriah-
Hi madam. About the progression of memorizing Surah, I chose Surah Annur as it is my favourite Surah. I strated with reciting the meaning of certain verses and then find the story behind that surah because last week I cant start memorize it. For the reflection before sleep, the first thing I do is Solat Taubat, zikr and doa. Alhamdulillah I got positive feedback from my journey towards Allah. Thank you madam for giving us the best assignment ever.
Hi madam hayati ! So far, your teaching in class is great. I've realise that i actually not loving myself more than I do. Your first lecture had made me always reflect myself every night before sleep, and try to think on how to be better on the next day. Although I cannot change rapidly, but I believe in 'slowly but surely'. Keep on giving positive vibes madam ! Sincerely, your beloved student. -xoxo-
Waalaikumussalam madam:)...for me,this course is so interesting and awesome..from the 1st assignment it's give me awareness to reflect myself how i was doing my life for this 22years.and also give me huge bump when i question myself how close i was to alquran throughout my life until now? :(
Assalamualaikum Madam. This comment will be long as I summarise my progress for our three days class that we already had. First of all I want to express my gratitude to be one of your students in this parenting class:) Madam is such a good lecturer that always have smile on your face. In the first class, you had told us about what we will learn likes how to love ourselves, how to get a good spouse and how to manage children from Islamic perspective and I interested to know more about that. You had given a task for sisters, which we need to memorise a surah from al-Quran. From this task, I had learned new lesson from my chosen surah which is Surah al-Waqiah as whoever reads this surah the person will never encounter poverty. I still in the process to memorise the full surah and hope it will benefit me.
Other than that you taught us on how to love ourselves before we love others. I had tried to practice every night before sleep to have a clear mindset where I need to be grateful on whatever I have in my life. By then, I learn to forgive all people around me and have a positive mind. Then, it relates with the latest class which is about mindfulness. Mindfulness is awareness on others’ thoughts and needs that also lead us to be more focus. To have this focus mind, you showed us on how to breathe properly. After this activity, I feel more calm and relaxed. You also asked us to look nature likes trees and flowers around our campus. I’m very love to look nature as it gives me kind of relaxation and calmness not to my eyes only but also to my mind. Last but not least, I’m always can’t wait to listen to your stories or experiences and other activity with you. Thank you Madam. -1610626-
1614614 Journal of my journey in memorizing Al-Quran (Al-Kahfi). On Friday, 9 March 2018, I just started to memorize surah Al-Kahfi which that usually been read on Friday night. But to memorize directly all ayat at the same time need our own effort. While memorizing Al-Kahfi, I also tried to know and understand the meaning itself. So by that, I took a lot of time to memorize it. But I will keep on improve my own effort for my benefit actually. I promise to myself that I will try my best to memorize it. Surah al –Kahfi(18:2), “Rightly directing that he might give warning of severe punishment from Him and give good news to the believers who do good that they shall have a goodly reward”. Based on this translation that our good deeds such as memorizing al-Quran will also get reward. So by this, I will keep on improve myself to memorize it more in future.
Al-Kahf is one if the important surah that should be read and remember by us. So, I take this opportunity to start studying about this surah.
On the first day, I just read the whole verses and try to remember it a little. For the second day, since it is Saturday, I have more chance because it is holiday. So, I find about the meaning if this surah and try to understand the meaning behind all the verse. This is because I think that memorizing without understand is actually not enough. That is why I make my first effort in understanding the meaning.
Starting from the third day, I start to memorize the surah. I read verse by verse and repeated it several times. Firstly, I just memorize one verse and practice to read the verse without looking every time after prayer. For the next day, I do the same thing. I repeated the second verse many times and combine it with the first verse. On the fifth day, I plan to memorize another three verse. So, I keep doing the same thing. So, I have memorize five verse. The next day, I added another three verse. I memorize another two verse the seventh day. Then, I recite back the surah from 1 to 10 to check my memory.
So, altogether I have been able to memorize the verse which is ten verse. I also get to know the meaning of the verse. I believe just a single step a day is good for us, Muslim. Memorize slowly is better than nothing. I hope I may be able to continue to memorize this surah of all the verse. May Allah ease everything.
To be a parent is not an easy task. It takes a whole journey of life to master the skills of parenting. Just like a tree, it takes decades, or even centuries to grow up and bring benefits to the world. That is what parenting is all about. To make the world a better place, to raise better people, to create better humanity. I believe this needs to be learnt by everyone formally (in class) and informally (outside of class).
As a man with a lot of dreams, i believe this is an excellent step to change the world into something new, something better especially for our beloved country, Malaysia. With that, i end my sharing session, and i do wish all of you good luck, and enjoy this parenting class. Believe me, it will benefit you sooner or later! Thank you. :D

1610524 During the process of memorizing Surah Al-Kahfi , I learn how to manage time and how to divide work. Because Surah Al-Kahfi consists of many ayahs, I divided it into part to make the memorization easier and while memorizing the ayah I also read and try to understand the meaning of each ayah. While memorizing the surah, it helps me to manage the time properly and appreciates the time which makes me become more discipline.
It was given a week to try for congregational subuh prayer. Task accepted and it went well for the first day on 24th March . With some of my classmates, we managed to complete the prayer together . Unfortunately on the second ,third , fourth and the fifth days , I only managed to do subuh prayer alone in my room since I woke up late which was after 6:30 am . On the sixth and the last day 30th March, we managed to woke up early and prayed together . It was a good practice .
Hi madam ! So far whenever i come to your class, i feel kinda release some stress after a week with full of heavy classes. I realise now that, in order to reach what i want in life, i need to improve within myself first, and then success will come. Everynite before i went to sleep, i'll reflect myself, list down what i lacked of and think of how to improve the next day. Eventho i may not improve rapidly, but i believe in slowly but surely. I look forward to your next classes, i really do like your teaching. Thank you madam, -xoxo-
1618972 My journey in memorizing the Quran (juz' 30). For the past three weeks, I have started this journey. I used to hear all the surahs in juz' 30 from the playlists but I do not have any influencer that make me feel very determined to memorize those surahs. I feel very delighted and blessed when you assigned this task so that I can use this chance to challenge myself to memorize it. Step by step. Until this moment I have been memorize 4 surahs (read:starting from surah An-Naba', not that 3 quls hahaha) and the others are still in progress Insyaallah. May Allah ease :)
1613038 The journal of me memorizing Surah Ar-Rahman Before I was just "okay I know a lil bit of this surah" "this verse sounds familiar, it's from ar-rahman surah". It is such a nice assignment since I have the driving force to complette the task which it really beneficial for me. I chose this Surah because of the familiar verse is verse 30 which is "So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?". That verse really makes me want to know more. And true that He is The Beneficient, we the human are nobody. It took some courage to remember the whole surah but I took it as a challenge. Alhamdulillah, I almost completed it in the time given. InshaALLAH I will keep memorizing it in the future and hopefully I am not only memorizing it just for the sake of completing the task.
1617528 Journal on my journey to memorize and understand Al-Mulk. Actually, I familiar with Surah Al-Mulk because when I was in secondary school, we were enforce to recite Al-Mulk everynight before sleep. Then, eventually, I memorized the surah. However, now, I rarely do the routineso I forget most half of the surah. On 14 March 2018, I start back to memorize the surah.I realize, to recite it kind of easier than to memorize and to maintain it in my memories.I hope that if I success in memorizing this surah, I will not forget the surah again.
1612280 My journey in understanding Surah Al-Kahfi I would like to write about my story on how i tried to understand the meaning of Surah Al-Kahfi. I choose this Surah because I think that most of us read this Surah on Friday night but only some of us really understand the meaning of it. So, by doing this, I hope that I will appreciate the meaning and the story of this Surah whenever I read it. Well, I have been doing this for a week and Alhadmulillah I think that i made it and achieve my goal. Maybe I couldn't understand the meaning of the Surah like all the "mufassirun" did, but for this level, I really satisfied with the change that I made in myself and perhaps I can improve in the future, Insya Allah.
on the first week's lecture presented the idea of performing solat subuh together among brothers for a week. to be honest, even though im not fully filled the whole week performing subuh prayer together but i manage to force myself to perform subuh prayer twice in that week together with my friend.
As we all know that, during subuh prayer time is a precious time for spiritual practice. Some muslim scholar explain that the time of the subuh prayer is an especially valuable time for spiritual practice, for the sun rise upon the earth, the soul awakens from its rest in the divine presence and one's moves during this sanctified duration are enormous significance towards spiritual awakening into onconciousness.
Based on my experience before, i never solat subuh with others unless if i am in a program. i always performing solat subuh alone and sometimes performing it late due to late sleep at night. this assignment is one of the best practice in our daily routine student life. i believe that if we keep practice this assignment in our daily routine activity, it will become habit and can become permenant in our daily activity.
this difference forced me to reflect on the aims and purposes of this course-how parenting skills are develope, but differ according to time and place. this is why subuh prayer become our preeminence in islam. prophet Muhammad SAW said in the hadith by Muslim with means " whoever performs the prayer before the rising of the sun and the prayer before its setting will not enter hell".
1612310 My progression to be a better me: Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! This parenting class has motivated me to improve and change myself. It’s just like a tool that push me to be a better me, before I am going be the best one for someone in future. My first step to be a better me is memorized the Surah that I had chosen (allow me to keep secret but no worry I do the task given hehe) and for extra reward for myself, I also memorized with its meaning. When we read that Surah in our solat, it will be more understandable and at the same time it feels like how grateful we are as muslims that Allah loves us unlimitedly. The Creator loves us and why we are not love ourselves by doing the bad things? These are reflected myself to appreciate myself especially and then do all Allah’s commandments as a mukmin. Thus, this first step has moved my inner self to be a better muslim, mukmin and muttaqin so that in future I will be the best parent for my children. 1618928 Al-waqiah - A surah that invites human beings to think about themselves and who created all of the things in this world. It talks about the Quran and its profound. It also provides consistent message that reminds about death and the coming end of every being. I am so glad that i found this surah when i was on twitter months ago. There was a person who shared a list of very beneficial and beautiful surahs and al waqiah is one of it ! Hehe I’ve been practicing this surah ever since, once a day (usually after maghrib prayer). At this moment, it is one of my favourite surah after ar Rahman. I’ve been working on memorizing the ayahs and also the meanings. May Allah ease :'))
For last week class, I learnt about how to appreciate our friends. Madam had asked me and my classmates to write a letter to our best friend. In the letter, I had expressed my love and how grateful I am to have she as my best partner in everything I did. Even there is a time where we are not in same opinion or have some misunderstanding, we always give time to each other fixing back everything in a good way without hurting anyone’s feeling. However, I feel a bit awkward to send what I have written to my friend as I never did that before but I relieved as she did not say too much about it.
After that, madam had showed us two videos about Inky Johnson and Janine Shepherd if I not mistaken. These two people are such very amazing person where they had went through tough test in their lives. Both involved in an accident in the time they were did things they are passion with where Inky when he played football while Janine when she cycled a bike. What make me amazed with these two people is how they get up from their sadness and disappointment. They showed me that we must not ever give up in whatever we faced even after we cannot do what we loved before as we might try something else that might be better for our life. We also must believe that whatever happens there must be hikmah that Allah wants to show after every single test we go through. -1610626-
1615091 Journal about my journey in consecutively perform congregational subuh prayer. My journey started on 9 March 2018 and still ongoing. At first, it was very hard for me to wake up early. I always woke up after azan. Never in the first week of my journey that i woke up before azan. But after the first week, I started waking up early. But yeah, there was also tons of time that I woke up after azan. At least in that following week, I succeeded to perform congregational subuh prayer but not consecutively. It is very difficult to wake up early consistently. I really need to manage my time properly so that I could sleep early and wake up early. The journey is still ongoing and I will try my best to improve myself day by day.
1616674 March 14, 2018. I have chosen to memorize Surah Ar-Rahman. Although there are rumours saying that it is hard to memorize this surah because it consists of short and repeating verses, I will still give it a try I read through all the verses in Arabic, then I read the translations in Malay. The meanings made me feel relatable and teary. This surah reminds me to always be grateful for whatever I have. Also, Allah mentioned about the punishments for the wrongdoers. And in the last part, Allah mentioned about things in heaven, of those rewards and blessings which will be granted to the righteous men and jinn who have led pious lives in the world. I only managed to memorize a little for now, but I will keep on memorizing after this.
For my journey in memorizing any Surah from Quran I chose Surah As-saff because this Surah I have memorized it before but I'm forget for some verses so that I used this opportunity to murajaah my memorization on it. Before this, I took around one week to memorize this Surah, just memorize it but not understand the fully meaning. For this opportunity given by Madam Hayati, I decide to memorize the verses and also the meaning. It very hard but I'll try my best.
During the duration given, I have read a book title Fiqh Sirah II, the part that I read is about Saidatina Aisyah. From that story, Allah revealed Surah An-Nur verse 11-20 to answer the slander from munafiqun towards Saidatina Aisyah at that time. I'm interested to know more about this Surah so I decide to choose another Surah which is Surah An-Nur for my second memorization but just for several verses only. The first step I do is reading the meaning of that verses then I starts to memorize it verse by verse.
Very thankful to Allah because give me opportunity to close with Him by sending a special person to me which is Madam Hayati. Lots of thing I learn from my journey. I get new knowledge from it.
For my memorization, it is still in progressing and I'll improve it step by step. There are some tips in memorizing the Surah;
1. Tajdid niat. Niat is important. 2. Read the meaning 3. Memorize verse by verse and repeat it from the beginning until the verse that we have memorize. 4. Try to read the surah during 5 daily prayer.
1612662 Journal of my journey in memorizing Surah Ar-Rahman "So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" -Surah Ar-Rahman, verse 13. This verse appears more than 30 times in the Surah. Clearly, this Surah tells us that there are so many uncountable blessings He's given to us. I chose this Surah because it has so many benefits and it also one of the most beautiful Surah I've ever known. I always recite this Surah but never really memorize the whole Surah because it is so long. But I'll try to memorize all verses as the verse actually repeated and very short compared to others. Before I start memorising it, I read it again and again and read the translations. After understanding the meaning, I'm making an effort to keep memorising the whole Surah. There are many benefits of this Surah,I've read that if we read this Surah before sleep, Allah will send us an angel to guards us while we asleep and if we read it during the day, an angel will guard us until the sunset. Until now I'm still trying to memorise the whole Surah and will keep improving for my ownself.
Journal of my journey on subh congregational prayers 1. On the first day i failed to do so because i woke up a bit late which is around 7.50 a.m. At that time, I felt nothing when i failed doing the task. Maybe because of the urgency or the leniency on the task given which is at least once a week i took the task for granted. This continues for a few days until the last day which is on thrusday the next week. The urgency to finish the task was felt because there is no time left before the next class. So i set my alarm and mind to wake up the next day and i succeeded. I realised that to do something we need to set our mind strongly. If we took it for granted but hope for the best it will not work because it does not work that way. You reap what you sow. Even though it might fail few times but as long as we tried that is already a great effort. I will try to improve day by day and hopefully one day i would be someone better than i am right now. Thank you
The progress I've made throughout attending this class would be my eagerness to go to class, especially yours. Your class is so fun, it never makes me bored and I am always ready to go your class. Besides that, because you always stress on improving oneself before doing anything else, I started training myself to be better and to have characteristics that I would like my spouse to have.I learned to be punctual(though I always fail, but improving), to forgive, and to be more optimistic in life. Also, I started memorising the Quran again, specifically surah Kahfi. Most importantly, I now understand the importance of loving yourself before you love anything or someone else. Loving myself will build a more sustainable foundation in me. Therefore, I know later on, when I encounter problems, it wouldn't break me as much as I would have. Thank you Madam, for all the infos and the inspiring stories and your extraordinary teaching energy.
Journal of my journey in doing subuh congregational prayer for a week.
On the first day which is Saturday, i performed my solat a lone because i woke up late. This is because last night i played game with friends and went to bed late. So it is hard to wake up early on the next morning.
On the second day, Sunday i slept late on the night before because doing some homework and task that have been given. But i still manage to do my subuh prayer in time but not congregational with friends. It is same goes to next day where i was woke up late, stayed up finishing group assignments and project with my group mate. i went to bed at 4 o'clock in the morning.
One the next day which is Tuesday, my friend woke me up early in that morning. We performed our prayer together only at room, not at mac or mosque. The place is not important to performed prayer as long as it is clean and comfortable we still can get 27 times of goodness or pahala from Allah. After that we went to breakfast at Paklah before we went to class.
On Wednesday and Thursday, i manage to performed subuh prayer with my friends at usrah room. The night before, i asked them to wake me up and performed solat togehter. More than half of the boys in this section were joining the prayer at usrah level. This is new experience for me performed solat at usrah place which i did not take a clue the function of that place. After that we went to breakfast together and having morning chat which was a hard activity to be done together in morning.
On Friday, i managed to performed subuh prayer in time with my roommates. After that i went back to sleep because i felt sleepy and tired that morning.
From my experience and what i feel through out that one week, the day that i performed congregational prayer, i feel more energetic and spiritually boost on that day. Waking up early in the morning and feel like having enough sleep is a blessing from Allah and the best feeling actually. Waking up early can make us more productive on that day and can do a lot of activity instead of sleeping. One of my favorite part is having chitchats with friends while breakfast is the best way to start a day in my opinion. Start our day with breakfast, meet friends, making jokes and laughter in the morning can change and set a good mood for me on that day. This will motivate me to keep doing congregational subuh prayer more often in the future.
1612342 Journal of my journey in memorizing Surah Al-Kahf Surah Al-Kahf is one of my favourite surah in Al-Quran. Surah Al-Kahf is the 18th surah in Quran with 110 ayahs. It was named suratul Kahf because of the divine story in it, a strange story of the companions of the cave. It is a Meccah surah and it was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (SAW). This surah brings us three inspiring stories for the purpose of establishing the correct aqeedah and faith in the greatness of Allah (SWT). First story is the story of ‘As-Haabul Kahf’ which is the companions of the cave, a story which clarifies Islamic beliefs. It is about several believing youths who flea their for the sake of their religion and take refuge in a mountain cave, then remain the three asleep for 309 years. Then, Allah reawakens them after this long period. Moreover, the second story is the story of the prophet Musa A.S with Al-Khidr. It is a story about seeking knowledge and knowledge of the unseen which Allah choose to make know to “Al ‘Abd As-Saalih” Al-Khidr while Musa does not know until Khidr inform him. The third story is about “Dhul Qurnain” also known as Alexander the Great, a king with taqwa and great sense of justice, to the extend his powers over the inhabited world. Furthermore, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jummah, the will be a Nur brightened for him between two Jummahs. The Prophet (SAW) also said that whoever memorizes the first ten and the last ten ayahs of surah Al-Kahf will be saved from Dajjal. He also said that the benefits of reciting this surah is that all sins of the past weeks are forgiven. Then, after I heard the story and the benefits of this surah when I attended a talk back then, I started to recite and memorize those ayahs of surah Al-Kahf everyday after maghrib prayer. Lastly, may Allah grant us Jannah. Aminn.
Being a parent is not an easy task, it takes a whole new level of life for us to be ready to become parents. What we normally see in parents is only a little part of what they face every single day. We can only know and feel when we become one later insya Allah. I've learnt so much in the course of Parenting this semester. It teaches on how do I manage this life in this world not only to succeed in this world but also to achieve success in the hereafter. I could say that, parenting skills are one of the most crucial skills that need to be really polished for each and everyone of us. This is simply because the roles of parents are never ending.
Parenting also opens up my mind to think further ahead, to be more careful when making decisions in life, to think thoroughly in any situation especially in solving problems. Even though I am not married yet, but I can know the responsibility of becoming the man of the house is really high. I believe with all the things that have been taught in class could be the basics for me to strengthen my parenting skills later on.
Apart from that, I would like to share my progress in my congregational Fajr prayer. What I could really say is, the only time where I can manage to perform congregational Fajr prayer the best is in the month of Ramadhan. Before Ramadhan, there were only a couple of times that I had the chance to perform Fajr prayer together with my friends. However, I will try my very best to keep this consistency in this month of Ramadhan until the very end of my life insya Allah. I do hope that you can pray for me and for all of us in the class. This is all I could say for my progress in my congregational Fajr prayer.
I enjoyed the parenting class, thank you for the things that you've shared with us. I'll keep on the stories in my mind to learn and practise what is good and overcome what is not. That is all from me, I hope to see you again. Thank you. :D
Assalamualaikum madam and happy fasting. Sorry for this late response. Basically what I have taught in this class is all about the parenting skill. Not only regarding what qualities do we have as a parent but also need to know about what do our parents have shown us. You also teached us about other skills in real life. As example, concept of mindfulness and its application. You also ask us to do an assignment of journey to congreational subuh prayer for the brothers and remembering surah for sisters. We task that as a serious matter and do it accordingly and willingly. Although the fisrt day is a little bit hard and unsuccesful. For the last class, you had taught us about how to present and gave us some good advices. Thank you for all these teachings. (1618721)
1617349 Arif Around 30 people from cts 161 had been grouped into a parenting class. Our first task that we received as a class is to do a fajr prayer together (males with males, females with females). Out of 7 days of assignment, there's only one day that I was able to complete the Fajr prayer together. It is the last day of the assignment which is at 16th March 2018. At first I thought that 'oh this class had some unusual assignments'. But I am the kind of person that tries to find deeper meanings on tasks that were given to me. So , I understood that although the Fajr prayer was done together for assignment purposes, nevertheless we woke up together, and prayed together and that is a blessing for me.
Later on, my initial expectations of a parenting class was wrong. I thought that this is just going to be another class with syllabus to cover, no matter how interesting or uninteresting it might be. But this class was so much more than just another class.Madam hayati shared with us the story of her son that are classified as an OKU, and his journey of becoming an man of art. It is not all rainbows and glitters throughout the journey, but such is life and its path. What we have go through are meant to be taken thoroughly and wholeheartedly so that we can get what it is that Allah wants to show us in our life.
So, my journey of life continues as yet another class ends, with another lesson to be added into my journal of life

So, i take decisions to just read the translation and understand it. thus, i want to highlight one of the verses , 31:18 which means
" dan janganlah kamu memalingkan wajah dari manusia kerana sombong dan janganlah berjalan dibumi dengan angkuh. sungguh, Allah tidak menyukai orang orang yang sombong dan membanggakan diri"
this verses remind me to always be humble to everyone and especially towards Allah. everyday we have to always praise to Allah no matter the day we had thought for is bad. we also we should be kind and help others, like friends especialy an orphan. i just love this surah Luqman so much because it contains so many advices that happen in our everyday life.
Task 2
madam hayati told us last class to right the thought and our journey how we end our night everyday and advice us to read something good like Quran as our last read. through that journey, sometimes i end my night with scrolling my media social, reading chats, and reflect what i have done through that day and sometimes i end my last word with zikr and hearing Quran. i observe that there is difference when i end my last deed scrolling media social and hearing Quran. when i hear the recitation of the quran, i feel calm and said to myself that you have done your best and any stress that i undergo through the day was go away.my heart feel at ease.
Waalaikumussalam madam :)..for me,this course is so interesting and awesome..from the 1st assignment it's give me awareness to reflect myself how i was doing my life for this 22years.also give me huge bump when i question myself how close i was to alquran throughout my life until now?:(
Hi madam.

Journal of my journey in memorizing Al-Quran (Al-Kahfi).

Journey of memorizing Quran
Thank you. :D

During the process of memorizing Surah Al-Kahfi , I learn how to manage time and how to divide work.

Thank you madam,

My journey in memorizing the Quran (juz' 30).

The journal of me memorizing Surah Ar-Rahman
Before I was just "okay I know a lil bit of this surah" "this verse sounds familiar, it's from ar-rahman surah".

Journal on my journey to memorize and understand Al-Mulk.

My journey in understanding Surah Al-Kahfi
I would like to write about my story on how i tried to understand the meaning of Surah Al-Kahfi.

My progression to be a better me:
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! Al-waqiah
- A surah that invites human beings to think about themselves and who created all of the things in this world.

Journal about my journey in consecutively perform congregational subuh prayer.

March 14, 2018.

For my memorization, it is still in progressing and I'll improve it step by step. There are some tips in memorizing the Surah;
1. Tajdid niat. Niat is important.
2. Read the meaning
3. Memorize verse by verse and repeat it from the beginning until the verse that we have memorize.
4. Try to read the surah during 5 daily prayer.
Thats all from me. Thank you very much.☺

Journal of my journey in memorizing Surah Ar-Rahman
"So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" -Surah Ar-Rahman, verse 13.
Happy fasting Ramadan Mubarak mdm!
Journal of my journey on subh congregational prayers

Journal of my journey in memorizing Surah Al-Kahf
Surah Al-Kahf is one of my favourite surah in Al-Quran.

Around 30 people from cts 161 had been grouped into a parenting class.
